Moller promotional campaigns in Belarus

On 19-21 September, 2014 AlenMed Promotion held a Moller’s cod liver oil (Axellus, Norway) sampling by taste promotional campaign at the Trade Center «Zamok» (Minsk, Belarus). We would like to share with everybody the joy of this event!

It is a known fact that consumers more often than not are quite conservative when it comes to choosing foods, food supplements or medicines and loyal to the brands they already use. Consumers don’t always go for a new product. Experience plays a crucial role in their behavior which is influenced by individual preferences as well as by product quality. All of these factors manifest in sustained preference or, conversely, product rejection and it’s quite difficult to overcome any of these barriers. One of the possible options is to introduce a new product to a potential buyer, i.e. "take his hand and walk him to a new product". As they say “One look is worth a thousand words.” Overwhelming majority of people tend to trust their own perceptions over testimonials and other’s opinions.

Precisely with that in mind AlenMed’s marketing department organized the sample tasting campaign for Moller’s. Thanks to a good teamwork of the OTC team, the event was held at a highly professional level. Head of the Representative Office of AlenMed Promotion in Belarus Elena Beimanova and other team members attended to show their support.        

More than 300 people of different age groups who took part in the campaign enjoyed excellent taste of Moller’s that debunked the myth of unpleasant taste and smell of the fish oil products. Children were happy and excited to have a spoonful of good-tasting product. It’s worth mentioning that if someone prefers European manufacturer, it’s better to select either Norwegian or Finnish product. Over 80% of the fish oil is exported from these northern countries. Norwegians like this product and always use it to supplement their daily diet. Moller’s fish oil from Norway is produced from fresh cod liver (only freshly caught fish and never frozen) rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and Ŕ and D vitamins.

Campaign helped reinforce Moller’s brand loyalty and consumers’ awareness of fish oil health benefits for the whole family. AlenMed’s management decided to hold the ad-campaign in every big city, as well as in all of Trade Centers «Korona» in Belarus.
